Jamie Hutton was born and raised on the lands of the Tsawwassen First Nation, Musqueam, and Coast Salish Peoples, in Delta BC.
Growing up, Jamie was always involved with sports such as dance, baseball, fast pitch, but mostly swimming. She swam for the Ladner Stingrays and then later joined the Winskill Dolphins which catapulted her love of the sport. Swimming gave Jamie a lot of great opportunities like competing twice in the North American Indigenous Games, receiving scholarships, travelling across the country, and being on the Varsity Swim Team at UVic, but it also gave her a truck load of reasons to get treated for injuries and ongoing muscle maintenance at Fiskco. The team members at Fiskco helped support her mind and body so much while in sport and she thanks them for helping her succeed.
Recently graduated from the University of Victoria where she studied Indigenous Studies and American Sign Language. Outside of work, Jamie enjoys making Métis beaded jewelry, travelling, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She values community, kindness, learning, and living an active lifestyle.
Combining her passion for health and wellness with community care has made her very excited and proud to be the newest member of Fiskco’s Admin team! Jamie hopes to foster a positive experience for every patient who walks through the door.
